Dear Lanette --- Thank you, again, for your message.  We have received a tremendous amount of support for Golden Run but many people have indicated they preferred avoiding those people who are objecting so vociferously.  For now we are encouraging everyone to participate in the very extensive, highly public, comprehensive engagement process next year.  This will be when the specifics of Golden Run will be discussed and the actual plan for the property will be formulated.  It also will be the time when we address the objections to the initiative.  These concerns are valid and need to be resolved or else it will not make sense to go forward.  That is why this is a collaborative effort with the Town.  We can do this together.  --- Aaron

Hi Aaron,

I wanted to reach out to you and let you know that not ALL of the Erie residents feel the same as the few questionably-behaved Northridge residents with which you have engaged.  Yes, there are some concerns about the Golden Run "fitting in"; however, some of us see the reality that our little town has to grow eventually.  I LOVE the idea of having some culture, stores, and recreation closer into us.  And the fact remains, that our little downtown Erie is dying - restaurants and shops can not maintain because there is simply not enough of a draw to make downtown Erie a destination.  I don't know if this is a solution, but it might be a step in the right direction.   Unlike others, I think this will all work out to a happy medium that will make the Golden Run development something to be proud of for you as a developer, and for the town and citizens of Erie.

My very best regards,

Lanette Dykman
